Job Summary:
Ellchart Chartered Accountants is seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager – Audit and Financial Reporting Services to lead a portfolio of audit engagements and provide expert financial reporting consultancy. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical knowledge in external audit and financial reporting standards, including IFRS and IPSAS, while offering hands-on leadership and client advisory support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage external audit assignments in compliance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and firm methodologies.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of audit teams to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Review financial statements and working papers for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Provide technical advisory services on the implementation and interpretation of IFRS and IPSAS.
- Support clients with financial statement preparation, IPSAS conversion, and adoption of new standards.
- Deliver training and workshops on financial reporting for clients and internal staff.
- Stay informed on evolving auditing and accounting regulations and update internal teams accordingly.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Auditing, or a related field.
- A professional qualification (ICAZ, ACCA, or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in auditing and financial reporting, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Deep technical expertise in ISA, IFRS, and IPSAS.
- Proficiency in audit software and financial reporting tools.
